The normal shoe size is 42. Fivefingers have a size of 41. If you want to make the socks fit in your shoes, I recommend a larger size. More uncomfortable than normal toes, though only for the first few weeks. Warm and especially good merino wool socks do well even in winter.

Excellent on the foot as long as the right size was found! The warm, flexible sole with a thicker sole than other Vibram fivefingers protects the soles of the feet well from rocks and other irregularities. Very comfortable to wear shoes a little humbled.

These shoes were a disappointment to me after high expectations. Admittedly, I assume the other shoe of the pair of shoes is defective, because it went so badly on the foot. With these, I couldn’t even experience walking.

A bit tricky to find a suitable size but user experience but positive. Thanks to the wool lining, low humidity if it comes through does not feel cold.

I have run for several years with thin Vibram Fivefingereillä (VF), and then in wet and cold conditions Merrell Trailgloveilla with waterproof socks. Both of these shoes are really slippery when there’s no ice or snow on the ground, so I haven’t dared to run between breaks. I now get these VF Trek Ascent Insulated shoes as a test to see if they would lengthen that running season a bit. This spring (2020) did not but allow for proper experiments now, when the snow no longer came and hardly even freezes. In just a few days I got to experiment on a slippery surface. Most of the trips were but then the extreme conditions, ie unpolished mirror ice and black ice on the asphalt - there would probably be no material in the world now unless some pins were there. A few steps during the spring happened to a sandy or snowy spot; I mainly on the basis of their hopeful now then towards the autumn, that in these shoes would be better than kesäkenkäni. I can already say that these keep the heat well in the dry zero, at least when there are also thin toe socks. Melt water and with it cold comes through, which is of course a promised feature. The bottom is much thicker than in standard VFs, which is noticeable when running. After a winter break, this is actually a positive thing for the feet to get used to: I feel that these dampen the impact quite a bit more than the norms. However, the basic feeling is largely familiar from VF. And NOTE: I took care of the advice that you should take one number bigger than regular VFs (or in my case no shoes at all). So normally I use size 41 everywhere, but these are 42 and just fit. There was no need to adjust it afterwards - thanks to the online store, that this attention was included in the product description. In other words, it is best to take it bigger than normal. All in all I am pleased with these atrocities, even if it perusliukkaalla experiment will now probably wait for more than half a year until the next winter income. I had time for some 50 km to run with these reviews as a basis, but now the pros and I get used to the thin VFs as running puppies again.

Great, needs some getting used to - but went fast for me.
