The Tenui is our barefoot sneaker for children - a practical barefoot companion for everyday wear!
With its double Velcro fastening, it is easy to put on and take off without adult help; the shoe can be easily fastened and offers a firm hold for children's feet. The upper material is made from recycled leather, which means that no new resources are used and that a lightweight, durable and breathable material is used that is in no way inferior to real leather.
The Tenui is very flexible and has a wide toe box so as not to restrict the natural shape of the foot. Its sole is also completely flat (without a heel). This allows children's feet to develop optimally and gives them every opportunity for natural movement behaviour.
Material:
upper material: 100 % recycled leather (50 % fibre, 20 % glue, 30 % resin)
insoles: 70 % foam, 30 % mesh
outsole: rubber
Please note that in order to avoid stains on the shoe upper the soles are not glued all the way to the edge. The soles are therefore properly glued, and the small gap at the edge of the sole is not a manufacturing defect. With use the gap may become more obvious because the sole of the barefoot shoe is flexible. However, it doesn't mean that the sole is deattaching, there is no loss of function and therefore these cases are not considered as claims.
Always make sure the shoes are proper fit before wearing them. Shoes that are used outdoors can't be returned.
Please note: The materials and stitchings of the shoes will wear out and eventually break if the shoes are used in activities such as balance biking, football etc, or if kicked/rubbed against the ground repeatedly. Especially dyed leather and synthetic leather will quickly become scratched and look worn if it rubs against the ground.
