Comfortable barefoot shoes. There is enough pattern on the bottom that they are not slippery, or at least as slippery as with less pattern.

Stylish, comfortable to wear, high quality. I don't give 5 stars because these are my first barefoot shoes and therefore there is no comparison. I have a wide last, and the shoes have had plenty of room for this. In trail running, the shoes have seemed to be comfortable, but the flexible material for the ankle does not provide much support. So it's good to take this into account when running. All in all, high-quality shoes, and expert personnel in the store as well.

The shoes fit the foot well, but I have never owned shoes whose laces last better than the shoe itself. I've been using these for 4 months, and now the hole strap failed. They were in normal everyday use, and you wouldn't really expect a 130 euro shoe to last this badly.

The most comfortable Barefoot shoes I've ever come across, but the Mesa trail 2's design flaws came across in terms of durability. In my case, the toes rested just under that mesh material and the toes came through at 5 weeks of everyday use. The web material in these is basic aliexpress stuff and the company can't stand anything. If you compare, for example, Merrell's mesh fabrics, the difference is like night and day. The gluing of the side seams started to fail a little during the first week, but they are easy to fix, of course. The material quality of the shoes corresponds to the shoes of about two decades ago. I sent Xero a message about it and they praised their own guarantee to the skies. Their guarantee policy is a 20 percent discount if you order new shoes from them. This is not a warranty but a resale strategy. I gave them a factual review about the durability of the shoes, which was on the site for a couple of days, after which Xero removed the negative review. This is a cheap crooked garage company and you can tell. These people don't know anything about shoe making. More than 20 years as a shoemaker and I have never come across a company like this before. Natural movement took care of the resale guarantee in a really friendly and matter-of-fact manner. After returning the shoes, I got the money back right away. Definitely five stars for Natural movement. A big plus for the Helsinki store as well, a really nice place and the selection is certainly the widest in Finland. Really nice sellers too! I will definitely remain a regular customer of these.

After short period of usage I'm very happy with the shoes. They are very comfortable and the sole has a good enough grip. The only additional feature I would like them to have is attachment points for gaiters, like the ones that altra lone peaks have (velcro and hook). I glued a self-adhesive path of velcro and use laces to secure my gaiters, works well enough for now. I'll give them a few more weeks of use and may decide to buy another pair before they go out of stock. >> Update after ~6 months << I'm happy with the shoes. I hiked in them ~200km from Utsjoki to Inari through Paistunturit and Muotkatunturit, and they were perfectly fine. That involved rainy days, crossing stony terrains, rivers and bogs. The outer mesh got damaged in a few places, but it's not bad, given the use conditions. I've also used them for running and I'm satisfied. The lack of proper velcro patch for gaiters is a problem, because self-adhesive patches don't hold well.

The shoes are really breathable and allow the foot to function freely, work on all platforms, walking in the forest gained completely new dimensions when the roots and unevenness are felt on the foot but not in any way unpleasant, the sole of the foot also gets to work when walking in the terrain and the blood circulates.
