Guide to choosing the right size

The ideal overlength of barefoot footwear is about 6 mm. The overlength is the difference between the length of the foot and the inner length of the shoe. It’s the space in front of the toes inside the shoe that is necessary for the correct movement of foot.

When choosing the right size, please keep in mind that our shoes don’t have a round shaped toe, but they are, on the basis of the foot shape, the longest at the point where the big toe is, that’s why the length is measured from the big toe across the centre of the heel all the way to the very back of the heel. NOT from the second toe. The width is measured at the point between the big toe joint and the little toe joint.

When choosing the right size, first of all, it’s important to measure your foot correctly in accordance with our simple manual.

FOR OUR SHOES AN OVERLENGTH OF 3-5MM WILL SUFFICE. They’re made of very soft leather and they will therefore seem bigger on your feet than they actually are and that’s also thanks to their width.

All dimensions that we mention are inner dimensions and they show the inner size of the shoes.

WOMEN’S BAREFOOT MOCCASIN, ALL-YEAR-ROUND BOOT, LOW SHOE AND SANDAL SIZES

You can choose from sizes 35 – 43. We make sizes 35, 36 and 43 to measure as customised shoes. They are the most suitable for feet with a dominant big toe.

FOR OUR SHOES AN OVERLENGTH OF 3-5MM WILL SUFFICE. They’re made of very soft leather and will therefore seem bigger on your feet than they actually are and that’s also thanks to their width.

When choosing the right size, please keep in mind that the length of the insole is measured from the big toe (at the longest point of the shoe) across the centre of the heel all the way to the very back of the heel, NOT from the second toe. And the width is measured again at the widest point of the insole and that’s approximately at the point between the big toe joint and the little toe joint. All dimensions that we mention are inner dimensions.

MEN’S ALL-YEAR-ROUND BOOT SIZES

For men’s all-year-round boots you can choose between sizes 41 – 45. We make sizes 46 - 48 to measure as customised shoes. They are ideal for feet with a dominant big toe.
